Te’bito Game Track is located not far from the top of Murchison Falls. It connects Wankar Gate in the northern sector to the Chobe Track.
The Te’bito Track is often used to pick up or drop off visitors at the top of Murchison Falls. Although not widely known by tourists, this track offers a quiet and personal safari experience.
The name “Te’bito” comes from the local Acholi language and refers to a small antelope. Te’bito Game Track provides a more private and peaceful safari, making it perfect for visitors looking to connect more deeply with nature.

One of the key highlights along this track is the natural scenery, including grasslands and woodlands, which are home to animals such as the Uganda kob, Jackson’s hartebeest, leopards, bushbucks, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and others.
Bird lovers will also enjoy this area. Te’bito is home to many bird species, including the eastern grey plantain-eater, blue-headed coucal, black-billed barbet, and African quailfinch.
The track also gives tourists a chance to explore the park’s connection to the Nile River. Along the way, visitors may see crocodiles and hippos resting on the riverbanks.
Tourists can reach the track from Kampala by road, which takes about 4 to 6 hours, entering through Wankar Gate. Those traveling by air can fly into Pakuba Airstrip, with a flight taking around 1 hour from Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airfield.
The best time to visit Te’bito Game Track is during the dry seasons: June to September and December to February, when wildlife is easier to spot.
Te’bito Game Track offers tourists a peaceful and memorable adventure with many special moments to enjoy.
