Detailed 15-Day Uganda Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up at Entebbe International Airport
You will meet our company representative at Entebbe International Airport. After a short briefing about the safari, you will proceed to your pre-booked hotel in Entebbe City.
Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park with stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park using the Kampala-Gulu Highway. The drive takes 6–7 hours with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for guided rhino tracking. After, continue to Masindi for lunch, then proceed to your lodge near or inside the park.
Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise
Head out for a guided game drive in the northern part of the park. You may see elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeest, oribis, and various birds.
Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, go on a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. You may spot hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. After taking photos at the bottom of the falls, return to Paraa Jetty.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, drive to Kibale National Park through Hoima and Fort Portal. Have lunch in Fort Portal, then continue to your lodge near the forest.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi nature walk
Go to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing and be assigned a ranger and chimp group. The tracking starts at 8:00 a.m. and includes one hour with the chimpanzees to observe and take photos. After lunch, enjoy a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland. Look out for monkeys, birds, mammals, and plants.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth Park via Kasese. See crater lakes, open landscapes, and the Rwenzori Mountains. Stop at the Equator in Kikorongo for photos. After lunch at the lodge, take an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. You may see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and birds.
Day 7: Full-day game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, head to Kasenyi Plains for a morning game drive. You may spot lions, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and other animals.
Day 8: Drive to Bwindi via Ishasha sector
After breakfast, drive to the Ishasha sector, where tree-climbing lions may be seen. After a picnic lunch, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and check in at your gorilla lodge.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community visit
After breakfast, go for a briefing and be assigned a ranger and gorilla group. The trek may take 2–6 hours, including one hour with the gorillas. After trekking, return for your certificate and relax at the lodge. In the evening, visit the nearby Batwa community to learn about their way of life.
Day 10: Drive to Mgahinga National Park (Kisoro District)
After breakfast, transfer to Mgahinga National Park, Uganda’s smallest park. It is the only place in Uganda where gorillas and golden monkeys live in the same area.
Day 11: Golden monkey tracking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Attend a briefing at Ntebeko before your guided golden monkey trek. The trek takes 2–5 hours, including one hour with the monkeys. After lunch, drive to Lake Bunyonyi and enjoy the peaceful views of the lake and its 29 islands.
Day 12: Full day at Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, enjoy a canoe ride to one of the lake’s islands. Look out for birds and enjoy the calm setting. Have lunch at your lodge and in the afternoon, you may visit nearby communities to meet local people.
Day 13: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, leave for Lake Mburo National Park. On arrival, relax at your lodge and get ready for the next day’s activities.
Day 14: Game drive and boat cruise in Lake Mburo National Park
Start the day with a sunrise game drive. Look out for zebras, elands, giraffes, topis, buffaloes, hyenas, leopards, and birds. Return for lunch, then take an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. You may see hippos, crocodiles, and birds. After the cruise, relax at your lodge.
Day 15: Return to Entebbe or Kampala
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Entebbe or Kampala. Make a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for photos.
