The 10-day Uganda safari gives you a chance to see both wildlife and primates. This trip takes you to some of Uganda’s best parks, including Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Lake Mburo National Park.
During this trip, you will see animals like elephants, giraffes, zebras, chimpanzees, mountain gorillas, different antelope species, and many birds.
Main activities include game drives, visiting the top of the falls, boat cruises, chimpanzee tracking, cultural visits, and gorilla trekking. You will be guided by an experienced expert throughout your trip.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and pick-up
A safari expert will meet you at Entebbe International Airport. After a short briefing, you will be driven to your pre-booked hotel. Entebbe is near Lake Victoria, the largest freshwater lake in the world. Spend the evening resting, then enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Rhino tracking at Ziwa and transfer to Murchison Falls
After breakfast, meet your guide and drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for guided rhino tracking. You will walk on foot with a local guide to see rhinos at close range.
Afterward, drive to Masindi for lunch, then continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Enter through Kichumbanyobo Gate and proceed to visit the top of the falls. Here, you will take photos and watch the river squeeze through a narrow gorge about 7–8 meters wide. Later, head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise
Start the day early with a game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. Using a 4×4 vehicle with a pop-up roof, look out for elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, and several types of antelopes.
Return to your lodge for lunch and rest. At 2:00 p.m., go to Paraa Jetty for a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. On this cruise, you will see crocodiles, hippos, and birds. End the trip at the bottom of the falls before returning to the lodge.
Day 4: Travel to Kibale National Park via Hoima
After breakfast, start your journey to Kibale Forest. You will drive through Hoima and have lunch in Fort Portal City. Later, continue to your lodge near Kibale Forest.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Wetland walk
After breakfast, go to the visitor center for a briefing. You will be assigned a guide and join others for chimp tracking, which begins at 8:00 a.m. The trek takes 2–4 hours, and you’ll spend one hour with the chimpanzees, taking photos and watching their behavior.
Later, return to your lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk in Bigodi Wetland to see monkeys, birds, and plants. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Kasese
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way, enjoy views of crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountains. Stop at the Equator in Kikorongo for photos.
Continue to your lodge in Queen Elizabeth Park for lunch. In the afternoon, go for a short game drive to see small and large animals.
Day 7: Game drive and Kazinga Channel boat cruise
After an early breakfast, take a game drive along the Kasenyi track. You may see buffaloes, elephants, hyenas, antelopes, lions, birds, and if lucky, a leopard.
Return to the lodge for lunch. At 2:00 p.m., enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, and birds.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector
After breakfast, begin the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On the way, enjoy a short game drive in the Ishasha sector, famous for tree-climbing lions and topis.
Have a picnic lunch, then continue to your lodge in Bwindi for dinner and rest.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural visit
After an early breakfast, go to the briefing point for gorilla trekking. A Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) official will assign you a ranger and gorilla group.
The trek takes 2–6 hours, including one hour with the gorillas. Watch them closely and take photos. After the trek, return for your gorilla trekking certificate.
Later in the afternoon, visit the Batwa community. A local guide will take you through their traditions, stories, and cultural dances.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, check out and begin your drive back to Entebbe. On the way, stop at the Equator for photos.
