One of Uganda’s protected places is Murchison Falls National Park, which is situated in the northwest of the nation. It takes its name from the stunning Murchison Falls, where the Nile River plunges through a slender gorge and empties into Lake Albert.
The national park is one of the biggest and oldest conservation areas in Uganda, spanning around 3,893 square kilometers (1,503 square miles). The park is renowned for its rich natural resources, varied fauna, and stunning scenery.
Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, chimpanzees, and many bird species can be found there, among many other animals. Additionally, the park’s Nile River serves as a habitat for crocodiles and hippos. There are several game drive tracks in murchison falls National park. One of the newest tracks is located in the souther sector of the park. The Honeymoon track was launched in 2016 with the introduction of giraffes relocated from the northern sector of the park. The Honeymoon track is about 22kilometers long.
You will have to see lions here as they are the only cats in this track. There are several other new tracks that may be introduced in the near future to enhance the experience of game drives in Murchison Falls National Park.
