You will also have a city tour in Kampala, including a visit to the Uganda National Mosque.

This tour includes transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle, accommodation in your choice of luxury, midrange, or budget lodges, as well as meals, park entry, and all listed activities. Your driver-guide is experienced and will share useful information throughout the safari.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, hotel transfer, and Kampala city tour

You will be picked up from Entebbe International Airport by your driver-guide. A briefing will be given to help explain your 4-day safari plan. You will then drive to Kampala, with a stop for lunch along the way.

In the afternoon, visit the Gaddafi National Mosque located on Old Kampala Hill. Take time to view the building’s architecture and learn about its history and importance. Meet local people at the site and learn about their faith. You may also buy some Islamic items from the mosque area.

Later, you will be taken to your pre-booked hotel in Kampala. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or swimming. Dinner will be served at the hotel. Stay overnight here.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park and rhino tracking

After early breakfast, begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, about 235 km from Kampala. On the way, stop in Nakasongola at Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch for a guided walk to track southern white rhinos in their natural habitat.

Continue to Masindi town for lunch, then proceed to the park. As you drive to your lodge, you may spot lions, leopards, elephants, and other wildlife. On arrival, check in at your lodge, have dinner, and spend the night.

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon Nile boat cruise

Start the day with an early breakfast and head out for a game drive in the northern part of the park. This area is known for its wildlife, and you may see lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, hartebeests, warthogs, and various birds.

After the 2–3-hour drive, return to your lodge to relax and have lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise along the Nile River. This ride goes upstream toward Murchison Falls. You will see birds, hippos, crocodiles, and possibly elephants on the riverbanks.

Birds like African fish eagles, pied kingfishers, long-crested eagles, and herons may also be seen. The boat will stop at a safe point to allow you to take photos of the falls. After the cruise, return to the jetty and head back to your lodge. Dinner will be served in the evening. Enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 4: Nile Delta boat cruise, return to Kampala, and departure

After breakfast, go to the Paraa jetty on the southern bank of the Nile for the Delta boat cruise. This guided trip begins at 7:00 AM and lasts about 4 hours. The boat travels 20 km downstream. You may spot the rare shoebill stork and other birds along the riverbanks.

After the cruise, start the journey back to Kampala. You will stop in Masindi for lunch. On arrival in Kampala, you will be taken to your hotel or dropped off at Entebbe International Airport.

This marks the end of your 4-day Murchison Falls game and Delta cruise safari. Have a safe journey home.
